Situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Strathcona is a neighbourhood within Vancouver, British Columbia.

Transportation

Homeowners in this area are provided with various choices to move around without the need for a car. Strathcona is very conducive to those who like to travel by foot; running common errands is very easy without the use of a vehicle, and numerous businesses are very close by. Strathcona will also appeal to active people since it is very suited for bicycling. For instance, the cycling network is reasonably good, and bike-share stations are never more than a short distance away. Owing to many nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Expo Line and Millennium Line, and about 20 nearby bus lines, travelling by public transit is very easy in this area. On the other hand, Strathcona is not particularly car friendly since parking is not very easy, and many properties for sale are a very long drive from the closest highway.
