The neighbourhood of Altamont can be found in the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured method to navigate this part of the municipality is very often driving. Most houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is very easy to park. However, commuting by transit can be difficult in this part of West Vancouver due to the infrequent service. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are usually nearby. Altamont is not very suited for cycling because the cycling infrastructure is rather limited, and there is a significant amount of slopes. Travelling on foot is also not very practical for house buyers in Altamont because carrying out daily needs is impractical.

Services

Families will appreciate the proximity to primary schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from the majority of homes for sale in Altamont. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this area. When it comes to eating, property owners in Altamont almost always have to rely on a car to reach the nearest supermarket.
