Situated within the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Whonnock is a neighbourhood within Maple Ridge, British Columbia.

Transportation

The preferred method to move around in this part of Maple Ridge is very often a car. It is especially convenient to access a parking spot. The bike is a sometimes poor method of transportation in Whonnock as there is a significant amount of slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. It is also very challenging for people walking to navigate Whonnock as running day-to-day errands is very inconvenient without a vehicle.

Services

Home buyers in Whonnock almost always have to rely on a car to reach the nearest grocery store. As far as education is concerned, there are only a very small number of primary schools in this neighbourhood and thus they can be a very long stroll away. Likewise, Whonnock does not have any high schools.
