The neighbourhood of Hammond can be found in the city of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area is an extraordinarily good part of Maple Ridge for getting around by car. It is very convenient to access a parking spot, and nearby highways are quite easy to reach from anywhere in Hammond. In contrast, the public transit service in this neighbourhood is not very frequent. Nevertheless, train stations, such as the Maple Meadows Station Westbound and Maple Meadows Station Eastbound on the West Coast Express, are not particularly far away from the majority of residences in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Biking is convenient in this part of the city. Hammond is not especially well-suited for those who travel by foot since running daily errands is sometimes challenging by walking.

Services

It is a rather short walk to access daycares and schools from any location in this part of Maple Ridge. Parents can choose between public and private elementary schools. In terms of eating, the nearest grocery store in Hammond is generally only a short walk away. A small variety of restaurants and cafes is available as well.

Character

Hammond offers a calm atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This neighbourhood is quiet overall, as the streets tend to be reasonably peaceful - however noise can be bothersome close to the railway line. Lastly, public green spaces, like Hammond Stadium and Maple Ridge Golf Course, are very well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in, which results in them being easy to get to from the majority of locations in this part of the city.
