The neighbourhood of Carey is part of the municipality of Saanich, British Columbia, which is situated in the Greater Victoria metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great mode of transportation in Carey. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to access from anywhere in this part of the municipality, and it is easy to park. In contrast, getting around by public transit is difficult in Carey. Nevertheless, homeowners are served by around 20 bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Carey will attract physically active people since it is quite suited for bicycling. For instance, there are a good number of bike lanes. In contrast, travelling by foot is not very common in Carey, although many daily needs can be met by walking.

Services

It is a short walk to access daycares and schools from most houses for sale in this part of Saanich. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and high schools.
