Riverside East

Riverside East is a neighbourhood within District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great mode of transportation in Riverside East. It is very convenient to access a parking spot, and most homes for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway. However, Riverside East is not an especially pleasant part of District of North Vancouver for moving around by public transit. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and it is convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most residences. The bike is a somewhat poor method of transportation in Riverside East because the bicycling network is rather limited, and cyclists encounter a considerable amount of hills. Thankfully, there is a reasonably high density of cyclists. This neighbourhood is also not very well-suited for walking as meeting daily needs is impractical.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood. Additionally, families may consider it challenging to reach daycares on foot. In terms of food, accessing the nearest grocery store by walking is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in Riverside East.

Character

The character of Riverside East is exemplified by its calm ambience. There are a few parks close by for residents to explore, like Hogan's Pools Park and Canyon Creek Park, which makes it easy to reach them. This area is also quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

In Riverside East, roughly three quarters of dwellings are single detached homes, while duplexes are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood experienced its largest construction boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available homes are from this era. This part of District of North Vancouver is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. About 90% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while renters occupy the remainder.
