The neighbourhood of Kirkstone can be found in the municipality of District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is easy for pedestrians to navigate Kirkstone; many daily needs can be carried out on foot. This part of District of North Vancouver is also suited for bicycling because the cycling network is extensive. Public transit riders may have limited choices in this neighbourhood as a result of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. In contrast, Kirkstone is very car friendly. It is convenient to park, and it is a very short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any location in Kirkstone.

In this neighbourhood, parents and their children will almost always be able to access schools and daycares on foot.
