Sunbury-Terrace is a neighbourhood within Delta, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Sunbury-Terrace is very car friendly. It is a rather short car ride to the closest highway from any home in this neighbourhood, and parking is quite easy. On the other hand, public transit users may find limited options in Sunbury-Terrace due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most homes. Sunbury-Terrace is not very well-suited for those who travel by foot as meeting daily needs is inconvenient by walking. However, this part of the municipality is amenable to biking because the cycling network is fairly good.

Services

In Sunbury-Terrace, parents and their schoolchildren will usually be able to get to daycares and primary schools by walking. However, there are no high schools in this part of Delta. With respect to eating, reaching the nearest grocery store by walking is an option for some, but not all, house buyers in this part of the municipality. Residents of Sunbury-Terrace can enjoy a few restaurants as well.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy Sunbury-Terrace. This area is good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are usually reasonably tranquil - however noise can be bothersome around the railway line. Finally, parks are very well-distributed and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to explore, which makes it very easy to reach them.

Housing

The majority of the homes in Sunbury-Terrace were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 2000s. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this part of Delta is an important part of its character. About 85% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the remainder are rented. Although this neighbourhood is particularly good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
