The neighbourhood of Nordel can be found in the municipality of Delta, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is often the preferred way to get around in Nordel. It is convenient to park, and most properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway. In contrast, the public transit service in Nordel is not very frequent. Nevertheless, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are generally very close by. Nordel is moderately amenable to cycling because the bicycling network is very comprehensive. On the other hand, there are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of Nordel, although running daily errands is convenient without a vehicle.

Services

Parents and their children will find that no matter where their property is situated in Nordel, daycares and schools are nearby. When it comes to eating, getting to the nearest supermarket by walking is feasible for some, but not all, house buyers in this part of the municipality. There are also a few restaurants and coffee shops in Nordel.

Character

Nordel is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. This part of Delta is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, parks are very easy to get to since there are around 10 of them nearby for residents to relax in.

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing roughly half of buildings in Nordel, but duplexes are also present in the housing stock. A majority of the housing growth in this part of Delta took place in the 1960s and 1970s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Around three quarters of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the rest are rented.
