Located within the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Mayfair-Pacific Reach is a neighbourhood in Coquitlam, British Columbia.

Transportation

Mayfair-Pacific Reach is very car friendly. The street layout is well suited for getting around by car, and it is very convenient to park. In contrast, the public transit system in Mayfair-Pacific Reach is rather poor. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Even though some pleasant pockets for bicycling can be found, and the cycling network is good, this neighbourhood is not very cycling-friendly since there is a significant amount of hills. Travelling on foot is also not very practical for property owners in Mayfair-Pacific Reach because few daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a car.

Services

Getting to the nearest grocery store on foot is practical for some, but not all, home buyers in this part of the city. There are also a few options for those who value close by restaurants. In terms of education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the city. Likewise, daycares are not very abundant and therefore not always within walking distance.

Character

There is a great variety of green spaces in Mayfair-Pacific Reach. Accessing parks is very easy from most locations within the neighbourhood since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to relax in. Lastly, this area is an excellent neighbourhood for those who don't mind a bit of noise, as traffic during busier hours of the day can occasionally be loud.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about half of buildings in Mayfair-Pacific Reach, while duplexes are the main alternative in the housing stock. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. The proportions of renters and homeowners are about even. Around half of homes in this neighbourhood were built between 1980 and 1990, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1990s.
