Transportation

The preferred approach to get around in Valley North is very often driving. It is especially convenient to park. In contrast, getting around by transit can be very hard in Valley North due to the low service level. Thankfully, property owners have access to a few bus lines. A majority of the houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are not very conducive to walking since running common errands is very inconvenient.

Services

High schools and primary schools are not very numerous in Valley North, and accordingly tend to be a rather long walk away. Likewise, daycares are not plentiful and therefore not always within walking distance. Regarding food, doing one's groceries very often demands the use of a vehicle in Valley North.

Character

Valley North is good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are usually peaceful - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially near the railway line, the airport (YCW) or Trans-Canada Highway.
