Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Lake City is a neighbourhood within Burnaby, British Columbia.

Transportation

Lake City is an extremely convenient part of Burnaby for driving. It is especially convenient to park. In contrast, getting around by public transit is at times difficult in Lake City. Thankfully, property owners can rely on Production Way-University Station @ Platform 2 and Production Way-University Station @ Platform 1 with access to the Millennium Line and Expo Line. The neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Lake City is a fairly convenient part of Burnaby for cyclists. More precisely, the bicycling network is well-developed. Walking is not very practical for residents in Lake City as very few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are convenient to access on foot from anywhere in this part of Burnaby. On the other hand, Lake City does not have any high schools. With respect to eating, a fraction of property owners in this part of the city may be able to access the closest supermarket on foot, while others will have to use a vehicle.
