South Riel is a neighbourhood within St. Albert, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is usually the preferred transportation option in South Riel. It is especially convenient to find a parking spot, and many homes for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway. On the other hand, the public transit service in South Riel is not very frequent. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically around the corner. This part of St. Albert is rather appropriate for bicycling because the cycling network is good. Traveling on foot is not very convenient for property owners in this part of the city because very few day-to-day errands can be run without needing to resort to a car.
