Situated within the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area, South Riel is a neighbourhood in St. Albert, Alberta.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in this part of the city. Accessing a place to park is quite easy, and the majority of real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway. On the other hand, this part of the city is not an especially convenient part of St. Albert for travelling by public transit. Nevertheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. It is convenient to move around by bicycle in this part of the city since there are a fair number of bike lanes. Walking is not very practical for house buyers in this neighbourhood as very few common errands can be run on foot.

Services

Parents and their kids will welcome the proximity to daycares, which are within walking distance from most houses for sale in this area. In contrast, this neighbourhood does not have any primary schools or high schools. With regards to eating, reaching the closest supermarket by walking is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in South Riel. Residents of South Riel can enjoy a few restaurants as well.

Character

South Riel is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. South Riel is reasonably good for those who like quiet areas, as the streets are usually quite calm. Green spaces aren't well-spread out, which makes it occasionally challenging to get to them from the majority of locations in this part of St. Albert. Despite that, residents will be able to access parks in nearby neighbourhoods.
