Heritage Valley

The neighbourhood of Heritage Valley is part of the city of Edmonton, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Heritage Valley is an extraordinarily convenient part of Edmonton for driving. It is easy to come across a parking spot, and it is a reasonably short car ride to the nearest highway from anywhere in this neighbourhood. However, Heritage Valley is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. Heritage Valley is quite appropriate for biking as the bicycling network is fairly good, and there are few hills to challenge cyclists. Travelling on foot is not very practical for property owners in this neighbourhood as very few common errands can be run on foot.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to get to both primary and secondary schools from anywhere in Heritage Valley. However, it can be very difficult to reach daycares as a pedestrian. As far as eating is concerned, it is occasionally an option for property owners in Heritage Valley to do groceries by walking.

Character

The character of Heritage Valley is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. The noise levels in this part of Edmonton are low, as the streets tend to be quite peaceful. Lastly, although this area does not contain any public green spaces, parks are especially well-distributed in nearby neighbourhoods, making them easy to reach.

Housing

Around 90% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 10% are rented. In this area, about half of buildings are single detached homes, and the rest of the dwellings are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. Most of the housing growth in this area has happened following the year 2000. This part of Edmonton also has a selection of unit sizes; this neighbourhood is particularly good for those looking for three bedroom homes.
