Located within the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area, Heritage Valley is a neighbourhood within Edmonton, Alberta.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in Heritage Valley. Most houses for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and it is straightforward to come across a parking spot. However, the public transit system in this part of the city is not very accessible. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. Heritage Valley is not very conducive to those who travel by foot because very few daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. However, Heritage Valley is reasonably suited for biking as there are a fair number of bike lanes, and cyclists do not face significant elevation changes.

Services

Getting to the closest grocery store by walking is practical for some, but not all, property owners in this area. As far as education is concerned, parents and their children will find that no matter where their house is located in Heritage Valley, both primary and secondary schools are close by. On the other hand, it can be challenging to access daycares as a pedestrian.

Character

People who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Heritage Valley. Although the neighbourhood is not home to any parks, green spaces are especially well-situated in nearby neighbourhoods, which makes them easy to reach from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood. This part of the city is quiet overall, as the streets are usually tranquil.

Housing

In Heritage Valley, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings and townhouses make up most of the remaining housing stock. Most housing in this area was built after the year 2000, during its biggest construction boom. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 90% of the properties in Heritage Valley and 10% are rented.
