The neighbourhood of Old Town is part of the city of Airdrie, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

Property owners who want to live in a compact area will welcome the reasonably pedestrian-friendly nature of Old Town; many day-to-day errands can be run without a car. Moving around by bicycle is also convenient in Old Town because the cycling network is fairly extensive. Commuting by transit can be difficult in this area as a result of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. On the other hand, the favoured approach to get around in this part of the city is usually driving.
