Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in McKenzie Lake. Nearby highways are very easy to reach from anywhere in McKenzie Lake, and it is very convenient to come across a place to park. On the other hand, commuting by public transit is challenging in this part of Calgary. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. It is challenging for pedestrians to get around in McKenzie Lake since running daily errands is at times difficult without a vehicle.
