Situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area, Downtown Airdrie is a neighbourhood within Airdrie, Alberta.

Transportation

Cycling is easy in this part of the city as Downtown features a fairly good bicycling infrastructure, and there are a limited number of elevation changes. Downtown will also appeal to active house buyers as it is quite conducive to walking; many daily needs can be met without the use of a vehicle. Commuting by public transit is difficult in Downtown. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. However, the best transportation option in this part of the city is usually a car. Most real estate listings are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, and parking is generally easy.

Services

It is usually an option for property owners in Downtown to purchase their groceries by walking. Moreover, this neighbourhood is a good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. Concerning education, daycares and schools are convenient to access on foot from any location in Downtown.
