Situated in the Grande Prairie metropolitan area, Lakeland is a neighbourhood within Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Transportation

Lakeland is very car friendly. Most real estate listings are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, and it is especially convenient to park. However, the public transit service in Lakeland is not very frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is typically just around the corner. This area is not very suitable for walking because few common errands can be run without the use of a car. However, this part of the city is conducive to biking as there are not many slopes to challenge cyclists, and Lakeland features a good bicycling infrastructure.

Services

Primary schools are especially convenient to access on foot from any location in this neighbourhood. However, there are no high schools in this part of the city. With respect to eating, a car is usually required in Lakeland to access the closest supermarket.

Character

Lakeland is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
