Transportation

Getting around by car is very convenient in this neighbourhood. Nearby highways are very easy to reach from any location in this area, and it is convenient to park. However, McKenzie Towne is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are around 10 bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most houses. Biking is easy in McKenzie Towne because the cycling network is fairly good, and the terrain is flat. This neighbourhood is not especially suitable for walking as few daily errands can be run without having to use a vehicle.

Services

Accessing the closest supermarket on foot is practical for some, but not all, property owners in McKenzie Towne. There are also a few options for those who value close by restaurants and cafes. In terms of education, it is a reasonably short walk to get to both primary and secondary schools from most properties for sale in this part of Calgary. A majority of the housing growth in McKenzie Towne has taken place following the year 2000. In this neighbourhood, most dwellings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. About 80% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and renters occupy the remainder. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
