The neighbourhood of Stonebridge can be found in the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, which is located in the Greater Saskatoon metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is very often the preferred way to move around in Stonebridge. It is convenient to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway. However, this part of the city is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, residents have access to a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally around the corner. Stonebridge is bicycling-friendly because there are a limited number of hills to challenge cyclists, and there are a good number of bike lanes. Walking is not particularly feasible for residents in this area since few daily needs can be met without a vehicle.

Services

It is convenient to access the nearest grocery store without a vehicle in this neighbourhood. Likewise, it is easy to reach the closest cafe, and there are also a limited number of choices for those who value restaurants within walking distance. With regards to education, parents and their schoolchildren will appreciate that no matter where their home is situated in Stonebridge, primary schools and daycares are nearby. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Stonebridge.

Character

Stonebridge offers a relaxed environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. There are approximately 10 parks nearby for residents to visit, including Marshall Hawthorne and Alexander MacGillivray Young, and they are especially well-distributed, making it easy to access them. This area is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing about 45% of dwellings in Stonebridge, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings. This part of Saskatoon experienced its biggest construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. About two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and one third are renters.
