Aspen Ridge

Aspen Ridge is a neighbourhood within Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, which is located in the Greater Saskatoon metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the best transportation option in this part of Saskatoon. Parking is easy. On the other hand, the public transit system in this part of the city is rather limited. Thankfully, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally very close. Although there are a limited number of hills, Aspen Ridge is not especially suited for bicycling because the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. It is also very inconvenient for people travelling on foot to get around in this part of Saskatoon because meeting daily needs is difficult.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to do groceries. When it comes to education, Aspen Ridge does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, daycares are not plentiful and thus not always within walking distance.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a slower-paced ambience will enjoy Aspen Ridge. This part of Saskatoon is very good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are very peaceful. Finally, although the neighbourhood does not contain any public green spaces, parks are spread out sporadically in nearby neighbourhoods, which makes them easy to get to.

Housing

In Aspen Ridge, around two thirds of dwellings are single detached homes, while duplexes make up most of the remaining housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood has occurred after the year 2000. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about two thirds of the dwellings in Aspen Ridge whereas renters occupy the remainder.
