Hawkstone

The neighbourhood of Hawkstone can be found in the city of Regina, Saskatchewan, which is located in the Greater Regina metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured approach to navigate Hawkstone is very often a car. It is very convenient to come across a place to park, and the city block layout is quite amenable to driving. In contrast, the public transit network in Hawkstone is rather limited. Thankfully, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. This part of the city is not very amenable to cycling because Hawkstone has a quite bad bicycling infrastructure, and the terrain is not especially flat. Travelling on foot is also not very feasible for house buyers in this area since few daily errands can be run without having to use a vehicle.

Services

Families will appreciate the proximity to daycares, which are within walking distance from vast majority houses for sale in this part of Regina. However, this neighbourhood does not have any primary schools or high schools. When it comes to food, home buyers in Hawkstone almost always have to rely on a vehicle to travel to the closest supermarket.

Character

As there are very few pedestrians, Hawkstone is relatively quiet. It is occasionally difficult to reach parks since they aren't well-situated. Still, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to unwind in.

Housing

Around 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 30% are renters. In this neighbourhood, roughly 40% of buildings are single detached homes, while the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest construction boom following the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this era. This part of Regina is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes.
