However, this area is not very bike-friendly because the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed, and riding is made strenuous by the typically steep terrain. This part of the city is very car friendly. On the other hand, getting around by public transit is at times challenging in Le Plateau. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences.

It is a rather short walk to get to primary schools and daycares from any location in this area. In contrast, Le Plateau does not contain any high schools.
