Transportation

Cars are a great transportation option in this part of the city. Nearby highways, such as Autoroute Laurentienne, are very easy to reach from any location in Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides, and it is especially convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit system in this part of the city is not very practical. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by approximately 10 bus lines, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. Biking is easy in this area. Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides is not very convenient for walking because many daily needs are difficult to meet without having to use a vehicle.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to reach primary schools and daycares from most properties for sale in this area. In contrast, there are only a very small number of high schools and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. With respect to food, accessing the nearest supermarket on foot is practical for some, but not all, home buyers in this part of the city. There are also a few options for those who value restaurants and cafes in close proximity.

Character

Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides offers a calm environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. Most areas in this area are quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case around Autoroute Laurentienne. Finally, a large number of locations in the neighbourhood have fairly good access to parks, like Parc du Bon-Pasteur and Parc Linéaire de la Rivière-des-Roches, since reaching the closest one is very easy from most properties for sale and there are a few green spaces close by for residents to check out.

Housing

Around 80% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. Most dwellings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in this neighbourhood, while small apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This part of the city offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
