The neighbourhood of Villeray is part of the city of Montréal, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

With a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations on the Ligne 2 - Orange and Ligne 5 - Bleue, and approximately 20 nearby bus lines, Villeray benefits from a great public transit system. Villeray is reasonably quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue, although there are still several louder sections, especially closer to Autoroute Métropolitaine or the railway line. Greenery is reasonably present in this part of the city; green spaces, such as Parc Jarry and Parc Villeray, are very well-located and there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to relax in, which makes them very easy to reach. Residents will also find that there are numerous tree-lined streets.

Housing

Villeray experienced its most significant construction boom before the 1960s, so most of the available properties are from this time period. Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing the majority of dwellings in this part of the city, but duplexes are also present in the housing stock.
