Transportation

No matter the mode of transportation, it is very simple to move around in this part of the city. Golden Square Mile is very convenient for those who travel by foot; all daily needs can be carried out by walking, and various businesses are especially close by. Active people will also appreciate the bike-friendly character of this neighbourhood. More precisely, the bicycling network is quite well-developed, and bike-share stations are rarely more than a few blocks away. The excellent public transit infrastructure makes transit a viable option for many. More specifically, Rapid transit stations, including Peel Station, McGill Station and Guy-Concordia Station on the Ligne 1 - Verte, are not very far-removed from the greater part of residences in the neighbourhood. There are approximately 30 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Golden Square Mile is also a fairly convenient part of Montréal for driving. The majority of homes for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway.

Both general and specialty grocery stores are usually accessible within a short walk from any home in Golden Square Mile. Rue Peel is among the best streets for groceries. The streets are almost always busy with people, there is an extensive selection of entertainment venues, and with its approximately 30 bars, there are options for nighttime activities. This area also features a small amount of greenery; to be more specific, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for most streets is below average. Nonetheless, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to discover and they are very well-distributed, which makes them very easy to access.
