The neighbourhood of Saint-Michel is part of the city of Québec, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Québec City metropolitan area.

Transportation

The preferred way to move around in Saint-Michel is usually driving. It is easy to park, and nearby highways, such as Autoroute Félix-Leclerc, are quite easy to reach from any location in Saint-Michel. In contrast, the public transit system in this part of Québec is rather limited. Nonetheless, there are about 20 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. Saint-Michel is not especially amenable to biking because there are a good number of slopes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not particularly extensive. Many of the homes for sale in this part of Québec are located in places that are also not especially conducive to walking since most daily needs are at times difficult to meet without the use of a car.

Services

It is a rather short walk to reach daycares and primary schools from any location in this part of the city. However, Saint-Michel does not contain any high schools. With respect to eating, a supermarket is ordinarily reachable within a reasonably short walk from anywhere in this part of the city. Residents are served by about 20 restaurants and cafes as well.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy Saint-Michel. There are around 10 parks nearby for residents to explore, such as Parc de la Famille, and they are especially well-distributed, which results in them being easy to get to from numerous locations within the neighbourhood. This part of Québec is also excellent for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are generally very calm.
