The neighbourhood of Timberlea is part of the city of Kirkland, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the city is very car friendly. Many houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Félix-Leclerc, and it is very easy to access a place to park. On the other hand, this part of Kirkland is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. Timberlea is not very suitable for those who travel by foot since common amenities such as post offices or hardware stores can be an extended walk away. On the other hand, it is convenient to commute by bicycle in Timberlea because it is an even ride to most destinations.

Services

This area does not have any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, parents may consider it very hard for their kids to reach daycares as a pedestrian. As far as eating is concerned, house buyers in Timberlea almost always have to rely on a car to buy groceries.

Character

Timberlea is a good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. Greenery is quite present in this part of Kirkland as there are many tree-lined streets. This neighbourhood is also fairly good for those who need quiet surroundings, as the streets are peaceful - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially around Autoroute Félix-Leclerc.

The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character.
