Transportation

Travelling by car is very convenient in Saint-François. It is straightforward to park. In contrast, public transit riders may find few choices in this part of Laval by reason of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. Although cyclists do not face serious elevation changes, the bicycle is a rather limited mode of transportation in Saint-François because the cycling network is not very extensive. This neighbourhood is also not very well-suited for those who travel by foot because meeting daily needs is difficult by walking.

Services

There are only a limited number of primary schools in Saint-François and therefore they can be a long walk away. Likewise, this part of the city does not contain any high schools. In addition, there are only a limited number of daycares and therefore they can be an extended walk away. With respect to food, some house buyers in Saint-François may be able to access the nearest grocery store on foot, while others will have to rely on another means of transportation. A limited number of restaurants and cafes are available as well.

Character

Saint-François is a very good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. The greenery in this part of the city is prominent as there are numerous tree-lined streets. However parks aren't well-distributed, resulting in them being occasionally difficult to get to from a large number of locations in Saint-François. Despite that, there are over 100 green spaces close by for residents to explore. This neighbourhood is very quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.
