The neighbourhood of Pointe Louise is part of the city of Montréal, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

Pointe Louise is especially car friendly. It is very easy to park. In contrast, public transit riders may have very limited choices in this part of Montréal by reason of the low service level. Pointe Louise is very suited for cycling. On the other hand, travelling on foot is not very practical for home buyers in this part of Montréal as common errands are very impractical to run without the use of a car.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Pointe Louise. Likewise, daycares are not numerous and accordingly not always within walking distance. Regarding eating, in all cases, a car is required to do groceries.

Character

Pointe Louise offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. The greenery in this neighbourhood is especially prominent as numerous tree-lined streets are around. Public green spaces, such as Parc-Nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques, are especially well-spread out and there are a few of them nearby for residents to enjoy, resulting in them being very easy to access from a large number of locations in this area. This neighbourhood is especially quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

In Pointe Louise, many dwellings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes. The proportions of renters and homeowners are about even. About 30% of homes in this neighbourhood were built in the 1980s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
