Pointe-aux-Trembles is a neighbourhood within Montréal, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great mode of transportation in Pointe-aux-Trembles. It is a short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Métropolitaine, from any location in Pointe-aux-Trembles, and it is easy to park. On the other hand, the public transit service in this part of Montréal is somewhat poor. Nonetheless, there is the Début Sud de la voie d'évitement Pointes-aux-Trembles, Fin Nord voie de contournement Pointe-aux-Trembles and Gare Pointe-aux-Trembles with access to the MA | 15 - Mascouche. There are about 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Commuting by bicycle is convenient in Pointe-aux-Trembles because there are a limited number of hills. In contrast, Pointe-aux-Trembles is not particularly suitable for walking because carrying out daily needs is sometimes difficult without a car.

Services

In addition, residents will find that many tree-lined streets are prominent. This part of the city is also good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to Autoroute Métropolitaine or the railway line.

Housing

Around one third of properties in Pointe-aux-Trembles were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
