Transportation

Little Burgundy will draw house buyers that appreciate several means of transportation. The transit in Little Burgundy is great as a consequence of Georges-Vanier Station on the Ligne 2 - Orange, and around 10 nearby bus lines. This part of Montréal will also attract people who want to live in a walkable area as it is especially geared to pedestrians; most day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a vehicle, and there are also a large number of businesses nearby. Little Burgundy will draw active home buyers because it is fairly suitable for cycling. More specifically, there are few elevation changes in most of the area to challenge cyclists, the bicycling network is moderately comprehensive, and bike-share stations are rarely more than a few blocks away.

Services

In Little Burgundy, families will generally be able to access schools and daycares without a car. With respect to food, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short stroll away in this neighbourhood. Rue Notre-Dame in particular offers an extensive selection of bars. Little Burgundy is fairly good for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue, although that is not the case near Autoroute Ville-Marie or one of the railway lines. There is a good amount of greenery in this area as many tree-lined streets are around. There are about 20 green spaces close by for residents to discover and they are very well-spread out, which makes them very easy to get to.

Housing

In Little Burgundy, around half of buildings are small apartment buildings, while large apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of one bedroom and two bedroom homes. Around two thirds of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by renters while the rest are occupied by owners.
