The borough of Lachenaie is part of the city of Terrebonne, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the preferred transportation option in Lachenaie. It is very convenient to access a place to park, and most properties for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Félix-Leclerc. In contrast, getting around by transit can be difficult in Lachenaie by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, there is the Gare Terrebonne on the 15 - Mascouche. There are about 20 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally just around the corner. Despite the fact that it is an even ride to most destinations, and biking is more practical in some sectors than others, Lachenaie is not particularly bicycling-friendly since the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. Travelling on foot is also not very convenient for house buyers in this borough because few daily needs can be met on foot.

Services

Some, but not all, house buyers in Lachenaie will live within walking distance of the nearest supermarket. Residents benefit from over 50 restaurants and coffee shops as well. This borough is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are generally tranquil - although there are still several louder sections, especially near Autoroute 640, Autoroute 25 or one of the railway lines. Lastly, greenery is not very present in this borough; however, there are around 40 public green spaces nearby for residents to discover and they are very well-located, which makes it easy to get to them.
