The neighbourhood of HoMa South is part of the city of Montréal, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

HoMa South will draw homeowners that appreciate a variety of modes of transportation. Residents can rely on public transit to travel in this neighbourhood as a result of about 10 nearby bus lines. In contrast, walking in this part of the city is not very popular, even though most daily needs are easy to carry out without having to use a vehicle. HoMa South is a fairly pleasant part of Montréal for bike riders. For instance, there are a limited number of slopes. Cars are also an excellent medium of transportation in this area. It is easy to find a place to park, and it is a rather short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Autoroute 25, from any location in this part of the city.

It is straightforward to reach the nearest supermarket on foot from anywhere in this part of Montréal. A limited variety of restaurants and coffee shops is available as well. Character

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in HoMa South. More specifically, it is easy to reach parks in the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to check out. Despite the abundance of public green spaces, the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is fairly bad. Thanks to the presence of few people out and about on the streets, this area is relatively quiet; however there can be higher levels of noise for those who are closer to one of the railway lines or Autoroute 25.

Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing many dwellings in HoMa South, whereas the remainder are mainly duplexes and single detached homes. This area offers mainly three bedroom and two bedroom homes. About 60% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by renters and 40% are occupied by owners. About half of homes in this neighbourhood were built pre-1960, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s.
