Transportation

This neighbourhood presents home buyers with several alternative modes of transportation. The public transit service in Bordeaux is good as a consequence of a few nearby bus lines. Bordeaux will also draw house buyers who appreciate living in a walkable area as it is fairly walkable; carrying out daily needs is convenient without a car, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Bicycling is easy in Bordeaux since there are a good number of bike lanes, and it is a flat ride to most destinations.

Services

Daycares and schools are especially easy to access without the need for a vehicle from anywhere in this neighbourhood. Residents have the choice between public and private elementary schools. As far as food is concerned, a supermarket is usually reachable within a short stroll from anywhere in Bordeaux. Additionally, a restaurant is often just around the corner, for example on Rue De Salaberry, and house buyers can enjoy a few cafes as well.

Character

The character of Bordeaux is exemplified by its relaxed environment. There is a good amount of greenery in this part of Montréal as there are many tree-lined streets. Parks, such as Parc de la Merci and Parc Marcelin-Wilson, are especially well-spread out and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, which results in them being very easy to get to from the majority of locations in Bordeaux. This neighbourhood is also reasonably quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially near Autoroute des Laurentides or the railway line.

Housing

In Bordeaux, most dwellings are small apartment buildings, while duplexes and single detached homes make up most of the remaining housing stock.
