Anjou

The borough of Anjou is part of the city of Montréal, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

Anjou will attract property owners that appreciate different methods of transportation. Anjou is quite suitable for walking; running daily errands is easy. In contrast, bicycling is at times challenging in this part of Montréal as the bicycling infrastructure is not very well-developed. Nevertheless, certain bicycling-friendly pockets exist, and cyclists do not face serious slopes. Residents can depend on public transit to move around in Anjou. The borough is linked by approximately 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. This area is also a very good part of Montréal for travelling by car. It is a very short drive to the nearest highway, such as Autoroute 25, from any location in Anjou, and it is easy to access a place to park.

Services

It is convenient to get to the closest supermarket by walking from most homes for sale in Anjou. Moreover, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of options, and residents benefit from around 10 cafes as well. Concerning education, daycares and primary schools are easy to walk to from most properties for sale in this area. However, high schools are not particularly numerous and consequently not always within walking distance.

Character

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Anjou. At the same time, the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is sub-par. Finally, this part of the city is relatively quiet, due to the presence of few pedestrians, although noise levels are higher closer to Autoroute Métropolitaine, Autoroute 25 or the railway line.
