Transportation

Lac-Deschênes is a very good part of Gatineau for driving. It is very easy to find a place to park. However, this part of Gatineau is not particularly transit friendly. Nevertheless, rapid transit stations, such as chemin d'AYLMER/FRASER on the 800 | Rapibus 800, are ordinarily relatively close by from the majority of houses in the urban village. There are around 10 bus lines traversing the urban village, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most residences. This area is not especially conducive to those who travel by foot because few common errands can be run without having to use a car. However, Lac-Deschênes is a fairly convenient part of Gatineau for bike riders. More specifically, the bicycling infrastructure is reasonably good.
