Transportation

Commuting by bicycle is convenient in Lakeroad since there are few elevation changes to challenge cyclists, and Lakeroad has a good cycling infrastructure. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also conducive to those who travel by foot; running daily errands is convenient. The public transit service in Lakeroad is not very frequent. Nevertheless, house owners are served by a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most residences. In contrast, the preferred means of transportation in this neighbourhood is often driving. It is a reasonably short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in Lakeroad, and it is convenient to park.

Services

Parents and their children will find that wherever their property is located in this part of the city, daycares and primary schools are close by. However, there are no high schools in this part of Dollard-des-Ormeaux. With respect to food, a fraction of property owners in this neighbourhood may be able to buy groceries by walking, while others will have to use another means of transportation. Character

Although Lakeroad does not contain any public green spaces, parks are especially well-situated in nearby neighbourhoods, which makes it easy to get to them. Housing

In Lakeroad, roughly one third of dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest of the dwellings are mainly large apartment buildings.
