Concord

Concord is a neighbourhood within Vaughan, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Moving around by car is very convenient in Concord. It is very easy to park, and many houses for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 407. On the other hand, getting around by public transit is sometimes difficult in this area. Nonetheless, homeowners can rely on the Rutherford Station on the Barrie Line. There are various rapid transit stations on the orange | VIVA ORANGE and Yonge - University Line. There are around 30 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is typically very close. Walking is not very common in Concord, despite the fact that many daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. Concord is also not very appropriate for bicycling as there are a fair number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists, and there are few bike lanes.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to access daycares from most properties for sale in this neighbourhood. In contrast, parents and their children may consider it challenging to access primary schools and high schools as pedestrians. With respect to eating, some, but not all, house buyers in Concord will live within walking distance of one of around 10 grocery stores. That being said, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and a limited variety of cafes is available as well.

Character

There is an extensive selection of green spaces in Concord. Most locations in the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to green spaces, including Langstaff Park, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to enjoy. Due to the presence of very few pedestrians, this part of Vaughan is relatively calm.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing around half of dwellings in Concord, while the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and townhouses. This neighbourhood also has a good choice of unit sizes; it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the units in the neighbourhood and 20% are rented. Around 45% of properties in this part of Vaughan were constructed after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s.
