Transportation

Woburn North allows homeowners to get around by a diversity of modes of transportation. The public transit network in Woburn North is rather convenient. More precisely, there are approximately 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. Traveling on foot is also reasonably convenient for property owners in this neighbourhood; meeting daily needs is easy without a car, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Woburn North is reasonably cycling-friendly.

Services

It is very easy to reach the closest supermarket as a pedestrian from anywhere in Woburn North. In addition, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and house buyers benefit from a few cafes as well. In terms of education, schools and daycares are convenient to reach as a pedestrian from most houses for sale in this part of Toronto. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.

Character

Woburn North is a good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. There is a fair amount of greenery in this area as the tree canopy coverage for most streets is fairly good. It is very easy to get to parks from most locations within the neighbourhood since there are about 30 of them nearby for residents to unwind in. This area is quiet overall, as the streets are calm - although there are still several louder sections, especially near Highway 401.

Housing

Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing about 60% of dwellings in Woburn North, while single detached homes are the main alternative in the housing stock. This area has a good choice of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. The split between homeowners and renters is about even. About one third of properties in this neighbourhood were built between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1990s.
