The neighbourhood of The Queensway can be found in the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

The Queensway enables property owners to move around using a variety of methods of transportation. This area is home to reasonably good public transit. The neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most homes. The Queensway is also a fairly pleasant part of Toronto for pedestrians; many common errands can be run without the use of a car, and numerous businesses are close by. The bike is a good means of transportation in this area as the terrain is reasonably flat.

Services

A supermarket is generally reachable within a short distance from anywhere in this area. Moreover, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of choices, and a small variety of cafes is available as well. Concerning education, it is a short stroll to get to daycares and schools from most properties for sale in this neighbourhood. At the primary level, there are both public and private schools.

Character

The character of The Queensway is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. This part of Toronto is quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - however noise can be an issue around F G Gardiner Expressway. Lastly, greenery is present in this neighbourhood; it is very easy to get to green spaces from most locations in the neighbourhood since there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to unwind in. Moreover, residents will find that there are numerous tree-lined streets.

Housing

In The Queensway, about half of dwellings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This area is primarily composed of one bedroom and three bedroom homes. About three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and one quarter are renters. The buildings in this part of the city are quite old, since about 40% of its dwellings were built pre-1960, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s.
