This neighbourhood is a fairly pleasant part of Toronto for pedestrians; running daily errands is convenient by walking, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Sunnyside offers a vast selection of green spaces to enjoy, despite its sometimes busy ambience. This part of Toronto is a reasonably good area for those who aren't bothered by a bit of noise, as traffic can occasionally be loud during busy hours, although that is not always the case in the neighbourhood.

Housing

Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing around 45% of dwellings in Sunnyside, whereas the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings, single detached homes, and townhouses.
