Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Stonegate is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

Stonegate offers house buyers the choice between a diversity of means of transportation. The fairly good public transit access allows people to get to many destinations without needing a vehicle. In particular, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Stonegate is also a fairly pleasant part of Toronto for pedestrians; many common errands can be run without needing to resort to a car. This area is reasonably amenable to bicycling.

Services

It is easy to reach the nearest supermarket by walking in Stonegate. Likewise, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner. As far as education is concerned, daycares and primary schools are especially convenient to get to on foot from most homes for sale in Stonegate. In contrast, Stonegate does not have any high schools.

Character

Stonegate offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. Most areas in this neighbourhood are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, the greenery in this neighbourhood is prominent; there are a few parks close by for residents to discover, including Humber Marshes, and they are especially well-situated, which makes them very easy to reach. Residents will also find that there are numerous tree-lined streets.

The predominance of small apartment buildings in the housing stock of this part of Toronto is an important part of its character.
