House owners have access to a few bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Shawnee Park is also a fairly pleasant part of Toronto for pedestrians; running daily errands is easy by walking, and a variety of businesses are quite nearby. The bike is a somewhat poor means of transportation in this neighbourhood as the topography is not particularly flat, and the cycling network is not very extensive. Thankfully, riding a bike is more practical in certain sectors than others.
