North Riverdale is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

North Riverdale will please property owners that value a diversity of methods of transportation. The very good public transit access makes transit a viable option for many by reason of a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), and about 10 nearby bus lines. This part of the city will also attract active house buyers as it is especially conducive to those who travel by foot; all daily errands can be run without needing to use a car, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Physically active property owners will appreciate the quite bike-friendly nature of North Riverdale. More precisely, bike-share stations are never more than a few blocks away, and the cycling network is reasonably good.

Services

Both general and specialty grocery stores are usually accessible within a reasonably short walk from anywhere in North Riverdale. This area also features a fair amount of greenery as there are numerous tree-lined streets. Parks, including Riverdale Park East and Withrow Park, are especially well-located and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to relax in, making them very easy to get to.

Housing

In North Riverdale, about one quarter of dwellings are townhouses, while large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and single detached homes are the main alternatives in the housing stock. Most housing in this area was built prior to the 1960s, during its biggest building boom. This neighbourhood offers mainly one bedroom and three bedroom homes.
