Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Niagara is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

Niagara does not require driving because several other means of transportation are available. It is very convenient for people travelling on foot to move around in Niagara; most day-to-day needs are very convenient to carry out without the use of a car, and a variety of businesses are especially close by. Niagara is also a very pleasant part of Toronto for cyclists. In particular, this area has a fairly good bicycling infrastructure, and bike-share stations are rarely more than a few blocks away. With about 10 nearby bus lines, Niagara has an excellent public transit system. However, Niagara is not especially car friendly. That being said, many homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway.

Services

Parents and their children will value the proximity to daycares and schools, which are within walking distance from most, if not all, properties for sale in Niagara. At the primary level, both public and private schools can be found. With regards to food, property owners in Niagara will value that a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a very short walk away. Additionally, thanks to 100-odd restaurants and cafes in this part of the city, there is almost always a spot to get a meal or a beverage just around the corner, for instance along Queen Street.

Character

Niagara is a great area for those who enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. It is very easy to find bustling areas in this part of the city. There is a good selection of entertainment venues, the streets are almost always busy with people, and places to go out at night are well-distributed throughout the neighbourhood. This part of the city also features not that much greenery; to be more specific, residents will find that few tree-lined streets are around. Nonetheless, parks are very easy to access since there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to unwind in.

Housing

Most dwellings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Niagara, and the rest are mainly small apartment buildings. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood has occurred after the year 2000. There is a higher proportion of one bedroom homes in this part of the city. There are equal parts renters and owners living in this neighbourhood.
