Humber Valley is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Regardless of the mode of transportation, it is reasonably easy to travel in Humber Valley. Property owners can depend on public transit to travel in this neighbourhood as a result of a few nearby bus lines. It is also easy for people walking to navigate Humber Valley; most daily needs are convenient to carry out without needing to use a vehicle. It is easy to travel by bicycle in this part of Toronto.

Services

Getting to the closest grocery store without the need for a car is possible for some, but not all, home buyers in this area. A small selection of restaurants and cafes can be found as well. Regarding education, it is a rather short walk to access primary schools and daycares from most properties for sale in Humber Valley. However, high schools are not particularly plentiful and thus not always within walking distance. At the primary level, there are both public and private schools.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy Humber Valley. There is a very large amount of greenery in this part of the city as the tree canopy coverage for most streets is excellent. There are around 40 parks nearby for residents to check out, including Humber River Watercourse and St. George's Golf and Country Club, and they are very well-spread out, making it very easy to access them. This neighbourhood is quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - however noise can be an issue close to the railway line.

Housing

The majority of the housing stock of Humber Valley consists of large apartment buildings and single detached homes, while the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. This neighbourhood has a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About two thirds of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the remainder are rented. This neighbourhood did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new homes in Humber Valley was spread throughout several decades in recent history.
