Golden Mile is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

No matter the means of transportation, it is very convenient to get around in Golden Mile. Owing to a few nearby bus lines, this neighbourhood is very transit friendly. Physically active house buyers will also be pleased with the reasonably pedestrian-friendly nature of this area; many daily errands can be run without the use of a car, and there are also a fair number of businesses nearby. Biking is convenient in this part of the city as Golden Mile features a good cycling infrastructure.

Services

It is easy to access both a general and a specialty grocery store by walking from most homes for sale in this part of the city. Additionally, this neighbourhood is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and residents benefit from a few cafes as well. When it comes to education, daycares and schools are easy to walk to from most homes for sale in this part of the city.

Character

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Golden Mile. To be more specific, it is very easy to get to parks in the neighbourhood since there are a few of them close by for residents to visit. At the same time, a lot of streets have sub-par tree coverage. Golden Mile experienced its biggest construction boom pre-1960, so most of the available housing is from this era.
